100% non-weight-bearing

Your weight goes through the back of your thigh, down the frame, to the floor. The injured foot never touches the ground.

Both hands free

Carry a plate, hold a railing, pick up a child. Six weeks of asking someone else to carry things — gone.

Climbs stairs

Most Indian buildings have no lift. SoraStride goes up and down stairs with a hand on the railing — the thing crutches and knee scooters cannot do.

How it carries you

The thigh is a far larger and more load-tolerant surface than an armpit or a palm. That is the whole trick — everything below follows from it.

Thigh cuff

A moulded cuff sits under the back of your thigh and takes your body weight comfortably.

Slight knee bend

The knee bends naturally, lifting the foot clear of the ground while keeping your hips level.

Aluminium side rails

Transfer your weight down to the ground. Upper and lower straps stabilise the lower leg.

Adjustable base height

Adjusts at two points without tools, so it fits over a cast or walking boot and re-sets in seconds as swelling changes.

Non-slip rubber base

Grips indoor floors and outdoor surfaces, compatible with boot or cast.

Anything below the knee that needs full offloading, where your other leg is sound:

  • Foot and ankle fractures
  • Foot or ankle surgery
  • Achilles rupture and repair
  • Plantar wounds and diabetic ulcers
  • Fusion of foot or ankle
  • Midshaft and proximal tibial fractures
  • Bunionectomy
  • Below-knee amputation

01

Floor to the top of your knee

Stand upright with your shoes off, on your sound leg. Measure from the floor to the top edge of your kneecap. Have someone else hold the tape if you can — leaning over changes the number.

This sets the frame size.

02

Thigh circumference at the widest point

Sitting down, measure around your thigh at its thickest — usually about 5 cm below the groin. Snug but not tight, over light clothing or bare skin.

This sets the strap length.

Before ordering

How do I know if this is right for my injury?

It works for anything below the knee that needs full offloading — fractures, foot and ankle surgery, Achilles repair, plantar wounds, fusions, below-knee amputation — provided your other leg is sound. It is wrong for above-knee injuries and when both legs are affected. If you are unsure, send us your diagnosis and we will tell you.

Do I need a prescription or referral?

No. You can order directly. If your surgeon gave you specific weight-bearing instructions, follow those — this gives full non-weight-bearing, so it satisfies the strictest version.

Does it fit over a cast or a walking boot?

Yes. The base height adjusts so the cast or boot hangs clear of the ground. Adjustment takes seconds and needs no tools, which matters in the first three weeks when swelling changes daily.

Using it

How long before I can walk with it properly?

Most people are walking confidently indoors within two or three days. Practise on flat ground before stairs.

Can I use it on stairs?

Yes, and it is the main reason people switch from crutches. Take the railing on your sound side for the first few days.

Can I drive wearing it?

No. Take it off before getting into the driver's seat, without exception.

Ordering and delivery

How long does delivery take?

Two to four working days across India, free. Hyderabad and Secunderabad are usually next day. We dispatch after the fit call.

What payment methods do you accept?

UPI, all major cards, net banking, cash on delivery, and no-cost EMI. A GST invoice is issued with every order.

What the six weeks actually looked like

I run a shop. On crutches I could not stand at the counter or carry stock. SoraStride put me back behind the till in the second week, and I stopped losing money.
Priya R.Hyderabad · ankle surgery, 8 weeks NWB
Third floor, no lift. Crutches on those stairs genuinely frightened me. With this I go up holding the railing and my hands are free. That was the whole decision.
Arvind K.Secunderabad · tibial fracture
Awkward on the uneven pavement outside my building, excellent everywhere else. I would still buy it again — but somebody should say that up front.
Meena S.Bengaluru · calcaneal fracture
